A lovely Costa Blanca spring day plus lots of Almond blossom, equals the perfect ingredients for a sweet maternity photo shoot!
¡Un hermoso día de primavera y los almendros en flores de la Marina Alta son los ingredientes perfectos para una tierna sesión de fotos de premamá!
I first met this gorgeous family when I had the pleasure of doing their second baby’s newborn session at home. So when Katie contacted me to let me know they were expecting their third little one, I was thrilled to do their family maternity shoot for them at Les Deveses beach, with the beautiful Montgó mountain in the distance.
Maternity photography is so special because it captures that tender time right before your family is about to change. While having a baby is a beautiful thing, it is also intense. Literally everything changes when that baby arrives. This is one of the reasons I believe photo sessions should be fun and ‘stress-free’. They should be time well spent with your family. It should be time spent laughing, snuggling, playing, and loving hard. AND that is what you will get when you share your precious time with me as your photographer.
Conocí a esta hermosa familia por primera vez cuando tuve el placer de hacer la sesión de recién nacido de su segundo hijo. Entonces, cuando Katie se contactó conmigo de nuevo para decirme que esperaban a su tercer bebé y que querían una sesión de premamá con toda la familia en la playa de Les Deveses, estaba yo encantada de complacerle!
La fotografía de premamá es muy especial dado que capta ese gran momento justo antes de que la dinámica de la familia cambia para siempre. Si tener un bebé es hermoso, también es bastante intenso! Literalmente todo cambia cuando llega ese bebé. Esta es una de las razones por las que creo que las sesiones de fotos deben ser divertidas y sin estrés. Para mí son oportunidades de pasar un rato alegre con vuestra familia, un tiempo dedicado a reír, acurrucarse, jugar y amarse mucho! Y eso es lo que siempre intento ofrecerles cuando me contratan como fotógrafa.
This wonderful little family came all the way from Calpe for their pregnancy photo session with me back in July. Soon to be mum of two, Daniela, prefers wild, rugged beaches and fell in love with the photos of Cala Ambolo I showed her. So although it was hot, humid and we had to wait for the crowds to go home, they totally rocked their session. (Which was a good job as Ryan missed the England match because of it!! LOL!) ;-)

A principios de Julio esta preciosa familia vino desde Calpe para hacer su reportaje de embarazo conmigo. A Daniela, quien espera su segundo hijo, le encantan las playas rocosas y salvajes entonces decidimos por ir a Cala Ambolo. A pesar del calor, la humedad y el hecho que tuvimos que esperar un pelín para que se fuera la mayoría de gente de esta pequeña cala, la sesión salió redondo y les encantaron la experiencia. (Y menos mal, ya que Ryan perdió el partido de Inglaterra por acudir al reportaje fotográfico!!) ;-)

I simply adore maternity sessions. It’s a magical time so full of hope where the couple is thrilled about their upcoming baby. Seeing how excited and happy they are for their little bundle of joy just doesn’t have a price!

I still have quite a few summer sessions left to show you – Gosh! How I miss that sweet summer light! Although autumn/winter is here with it’s lovely rich tones, the summer has a certain magic to it. And that magic is certainly present in this gorgeous maternity session. This wonderful family travelled all the way from the Basque country for their beach session with me! Thank you for giving me the honour of capturing this fabulous time in your lives!
Se me han quedado muchas fotos del verano en el tintero – Cómo echo de menos esa luz! A pesar de ya apetecen las sesiones invernales, con tonos tierra, hojas por el suelo… El verano tiene algo especial – Y esa magia está muy evidente en las fotos de esta preciosa sesión premamá. Esta bonita familia vino desde bien lejos para hacerse la sesión conmigo (del país vasco!!), y me regalaron muchas sonrisas y amor. Gracias por confiar en mí y en mi trabajo!
We are smack in the middle of summer season here and although we are busy organizing all our summer beach sessions, photography classes and commercial work, we still love to find the time to experiment with new looks and techniques – As shown here in this beautiful maternity studio shoot. :-)

Beach Maternity SessionThere are few things in the world as beautiful as an early summer beach maternity session. Pregnancy is beautiful all on its own, but add in gorgeous scenery and you have magic.
Becky, Victor and little Vega are such a lovely family, very laid back and easy to talk to. I was so excited to photograph them in the weeks before they welcome their second child. I can’t wait to meet Nico next week for his studio newborn session!

Beach maternity sessions are just one of the many options I offer. Motherhood is such a gorgeous time to capture in its many forms. I feel so honoured to be invited to share this time with my families from the very beginning.
