FAMILY SESSION | JAVEA
This little live wire had a fun-filled time in his session the other week. First he set off with Dad to explore the wonderful communal garden area at home…Then he had a whale of a time down the beach with Mum. What fun!
Este pequeño terremoto disfrutó de una sesión súper divertida…Primero recorrió con papá todos los rincones bonitos del jardín de casa y, luego, se lo pasó bomba en la playa (y el agua) con mamá. ¡Qué bombón!
Ya puedo ir mostrando un poco de lo que han sido las comuniones de este año y…¡Así de guapas son mis comuniantas¡

Marta knew exactly what she wanted for her birthday this year – A Family Photo Shoot. But as with most modern day families, getting everyone together can sometimes be tougher than you think…But it’s SO worth it. In Marta’s case the window for doing the session was tight – Just one afternoon in September – But with a bit of effort from all involved (myself included!) the shoot came together beautifully.
Sometimes I worry. We live in such a fast paced world these days, rushing around with our mobiles glued to our ears, trying to do (at least) five things at once… Time, where did it go to?
“They grow so fast”… “The days are long, but the years are short”.
The phrases are cheesy, I know, and more than one of you will say that you snap photos of your family on your phone all the time. But in hiring a photographer you’re capturing details and moments in a way that a phone could never come close to.
Plus you’re capturing photos of you and your loved ones TOGETHER.
Time isn’t endless, moments we cherish will pass. But we’re lucky to have them.
And one day you will sit looking back through photos remembering it all…And know how truly lucky you’ve been.

Marta sabía exactamente lo que quería este año para su cumpleaños – Una sesión fotográfica en familia. Pero al igual que con la mayoría de las familias hoy en día, reunir a todos puede ser más difícil de lo que crees … Pero REALMENTE vale la pena. En el caso de Marta, el hueco para hacer la sesión fue solo una tarde de septiembre, pero con un poco de esfuerzo de todos (¡de mí también!), la sesión salió redonda.
A veces me preocupo. Vivimos en un mundo tan acelerado, yendo a 200 por hora con el móvil pegado al oído, tratando de hacer (por lo menos) cinco cosas a la vez … El tiempo pasa cada vez más rápido, verdad?
“Crecen tan rápido” … “Los días son largos, pero los años son cortos”.
Las frases son cursis, lo sé, y más de uno dirá que no les importa eso, que están siempre sacando fotos de su familia con el móvil para recordar de los buenos momentos. Pero hay que darse cuenta que al contratar a un fotógrafo, están capturando detalles y momentos de manera completamente distinta (y mejor) que con un móvil?
Además, están capturando fotos de vosotros mismos y sus seres queridos JUNTOS.
El tiempo no es interminable, los momentos que apreciamos pasarán al olvido.
Pero un día te aseguro que te sentarás y mirarás las fotos de aquella sesión que contrataste y te conectarás de nuevo con los buenos momento que creaste junto con tu familia… Y sabrás lo afortunado que eres.
Marta es una de las afortunadas.

Ok, so I confess…I could keep sharing pictures from this great family photo session at Cala Portixol, Javea all day long! (Sorry, more blue doors! LOL!)
I consider myself extremely luck to call these beautiful people part of #mytribe – Friends with whom a strong connection remains no matter the distance nor time past since you last saw each other. And although it’s been a couple of years since I last had the opportunity to photograph them, I still feel an incredible honour seeing them grow individually and as a family in front of my camera…
And boy, did we have a giggle ;-)
Ok, confieso … ¡podría pasar semana tras semana mostrando fotos de este gran reportaje en familia que tuvo lugar en la Cala Portixol, Javea! (¡Ya sé, más puertas azules! ¡Ja ja!)
Me considero super afortunada de llamar a estas bellísimas personas parte de #migente – Amigos con quienes mantienes una fuerte conexión sin importar la distancia ni el tiempo transcurrido desde la última vez que os visitéis. Y aunque han pasado un par de años desde la última vez que tuve la oportunidad de fotografiarlos, todavía siento un honor increíble verlos crecer individualmente y como familia delante de mi cámara …
Y, ¡como nos hemos reído! ;-)
I had the pleasure of photographing these two gorgeous live wires during my summer mini session offer. Mum, Wendy, wanted something different to the usually beach-theme photo shoot so off we went in search of almond groves and fields of wild wheat… Such fun!
Conocí a estas dos preciosidades durante el mes de Junio cuando tenía la promoción de las mini sesiones en vigor. Su mama quería un look diferente a las fotos tipicas de las sesiones de verano, entonces dejamos la playa atrás y fuimos en busqueda de campos de almendros y trigo salvaje…Qué divertido todo!
