There are few things in the world as beautiful as a summer beach maternity session. Pregnancy is beautiful all on its own, but add in gorgeous scenery and you have magic.
Sonia & Carlos swapped the hustle and bustle of Madrid capital for coastal summer maddess this month when they came all the way to Cala Ambolo, Javea for a maternity photography session with me… And all thanks to Sonia’s cousin, Raquel, who gifted the lucky parents-to-be one of my maternity session voucher.
They are such a lovely couple, very laid back and easy to talk to, and I was so excited to photograph them in the weeks before they welcome their first child. They love spending time at the beach (particularly Carlos!) and it was important for both of them to capture a few memories of this special time there.
I hope you love and enjoy your images as much as I do!
Beach maternity sessions are just one of the many options I offer. Motherhood is such a gorgeous time to capture in its many forms. I feel so honoured to be invited to share this time with my families from the very beginning.
Sonia & Carlos viven en Madrid pero también son amantes del mar y querían tener un bonito recuerdo del embarazo que tanto estaban esperando, aprovechándose de los lugares idílicos que tenemos por la zona de la Marina Alta… Y es por eso que Raquel, la prima de Sonia, se puso en contacto conmigo para regalarles una bonita sesión premamá en Javea.
Además de haber llevado a cabo esta sesión en Cala Ambolo (¡un lugar maravilloso!), esta bonita pareja hizo que todo fuese más especial y emocionante, con sus sonrisas, sus miradas, su complicidad y con muchísima ilusión. Todo ello, quedando retratado en esta sesión premamá gestada con amor y mucha magia y que ahora tengo el placer de compartir con vosotros.

Y como siempre deciros que si estáis pensando en haceros unas fotos especiales por vuestro embarazo o en regalar un recuerdo tan importante a alguna embarazada, no dudéis en escribirme. Estaré encantada de atenderos!
Hoy quiero darle las gracias los chicos de SUB3 Photo Studio por la invitación a su estudio para realizar un shooting con las modelos Teresa Mora y Anna Mompó Berná el sábado pasado.
Fue todo un placer conocer a Alberto J. Anton, Juan Enrique Acevedo y a Juan Giménez, y su nuevo estudio profesional localizado en Elche. También quiero agradecerles a las modelos por el trabajo que realizaron, y sobre todo por su paciencia ya que éramos varios fotógrafos.
Nos lo pasamos en grande trabajando en un entorno profesional, amable y relajado, y creo que todos hemos conseguido unos resultados muy buenos.

A big thank you goes out the the guys of SUB3 Photo Studio today, for inviting me to visit their studio last Saturday to take part in a session with the wonderful Teresa Mora and Anna Mompó Berná.
It was great meeting Alberto J. Anton, Juan Enrique Acevedo and Juan Giménez (the photographers behind SUB3) and finding out a little bit more about their new professional studio in Elche. Also, I want to say thanks to the models for all the effort they put in and the patience they had with such a large group of visiting photographers.
Everyone had a brilliant time networking and shooting in a professional yet relaxed environment. I think the results speak for themselves.

El arte ha sido siempre una vía de transmitir lo que uno lleva dentro y ‘A tale of knowledge and light‘ (Un relato de sabiduría y luz) es una obra que demuestra un poco mi propia filosofía de vida – La idea de seguir la luz que ilumina nuestro camino a través de escuchar la sabiduría interior que todos poseemos, y dejar que el aprendizaje nos ayude a evolucionar como seres humanos.
Con el fin de transmitir esta idea, recurrí en parte al simbolismo del tarot ya que es una herramienta adivinatoria y psicológica que tiene miles de años de antigüedad. Las cartas que me ayudaron a la hora de crear esta imagen han sido la Papisa; Conoce los secretos de la vida y no necesita consultar el libro del conocimiento que tiene delante – La Emperatriz; Hermosa, sentada en un trono, creadora e intuitiva – Y el Papa; La luz celestial que le ilumina simboliza su nivel de conciencia es elevado.
La foto la hicimos en el pinaret de La Xara, aprovechando de la disposición de Nika para posar y la ayuda imprescindible de mi compi, Evaldes.

Art has been used throughout the ages to express to the world that which we harbour inside and ‘A tale of knowledge and light’ shows a little bit of my own personal philosophy – The belief that we should follow the light that guides us by listening to our inner wisdom, and become better human beings by learning from life’s lessons.
In order to try and communicate this in an image I decided to implicate some of the symbology used in the tarot. For example, the High Priestess: Whose knowledge and wisdom are so great that she no longer has to consult the book she has before her – The Empress: Beautiful, archetype of feminine power, intuitive and can signify coming abundance – And the Hierophant: Illuminated from above, his wisdom goes beyond personal .
The photo was taken at La Xara during my session with Nika and with help from Evaldes. A big thank you to the both of you!

La primera toma de contacto con la mezcla de luz continua y flash en el estudio. Hay que experimentar más para perfeccionarlo creo, pero los efectos son chulos. ;-)
So here I am experimenting with mixed studio lighting for the first time. It’s not as easy as I thought but I can see its potential. ;-)

Hola a tod@s! Sigo con la sesión en familia que hice en Pascuas. Hizo mucho calor ese día y a pesar de quedar por la tarde, la playa estaba llenísima de gente…Pero gracias a la naturalidad de esta familia y un poco de suerte (que siempre va bien!) ni el montón ni la temperatura se notan en las fotos.

Hello all! Here are a few more photos from my Easter family session. It was surprisingly warm that day and although we had arranged to meet in the afternoon, the beach was heaving with people…But thanks to the family’s relaxed nature and a little bit of luck (which always comes in handy!), neither the heat nor the crowds are noticeable in the pictures.
