A rare bird…

No se suelen ver a los búhos nivales por esta zona por el calor que hace, pero gracias a un especialista en cetrería,  Jero Tamarit, tuve la suerte la semana de conocer a uno.

Os presento a Neu, otra de las cinco aves que acompañaban a Jero ese día. Las demás aves eran Bolo (un búho real), Perla (un cárabo), Catalina (un mochuelo) y Joe (un águila).

Las fotos de Perla y Bolo ya están publicadas, solamente quedan las de Catalina yJoe, que las iré subiendo esta semana. ¡Estad atentos!

It’s not often you see a snowy owl in this area because of the heat, so when Jero Tamarit, a local falconry specialist, bought one with him to last week’s photo session, I jumped at the chance to take a couple of pictures. 

The owl’s name was Neu and he was one of the five birds Jero showed us. The others were Bolo (an eagle owl), Perla (a tawny owl), Catalina (a small owl) and Joe (an eagle).

The photos of Perla and Bolo have already been posted. I’m just missing the ones of Catalina and Joe, which I will upload this week. Watch this space!
